The directors and volunteers of Global Community Engagement would like to express our sincere gratitude to everyone who joined us at Jazz for Peace.  It was a beautiful sunny Florida day, the music was fantastic and we feel everyone enjoyed themselves greatly.

The proceeds from the event will go directly to help Haitian and Dominican children through our service learning programs.  If you would like additional information about our programs and about other ways in which you can help Global Community Engagement provide services for children and women in vulnerable situations, please click on the Contact Us tab.

It is never too late to help a child.

The volunteers and directors of Global Community Engagement want to express our condolences and offer support to all who have suffered as a result of the recent earthquakes in Haiti.  A portion of the proceeds from our Spring 2010 fundraising efforts will be donated to appropriate agencies helping the survivors on the island of Hispaniola.  Any donations made through our website in the month of January will be directed towards this effort.  Peace to all.

GCE & V-Day Fort Myers 2010 would like to thank all who came out to our "Read My Lips, Watch My Hips" Open Mic Night on Saturday, February 6th at The Lions Den supporting the Diaper Drive for Abuse Counseling & Treatment Center. We had a very diverse group of performers who shared their amazing talents, stories, inspiration and comic relief! With an entertaining and educating MC, we enjoyed the night in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere with a great selection of music, delicious Caribbean food and a fun crowd! We hope to see you all at the upcoming performances of The Vagina Monologues!!

Project Cuba!

An island-nation located 90 miles south of the United States , Cuba is vastly known as a country of intrigue, mystique, and isolation.  In November 2009, GCE facilitated a humanitarian research expedition to Cuba in an effort to expand its mission of service learning and inter-cultural, collaborative partnerships.  While exploring the island nation GCE was able to provide its participants with a humbling experience of the Cuban spirit. Whether of a revolutionary heart, a wandering soul, or searching for an adventure, GCE's exploratory trip to Cuba , has created another opportunity for the expansion of your mind.
